Gigabyte is preparing two more custom RTX video cards for the Waterforce line. This time, they are going to be for water-cooling enthusiasts with a custom loop since the AORUS Xtreme RTX 2080 and RTX 2080 Ti Waterforce WB come out of the box with a water block pre-installed.
As usual, there is RGB LED lighting through out. Illuminating the glass acrylic cover which peeks out along the sides. There are also built-in G1/4 connectors so it readily integrates with most loops.
Even though with water block, the card is only a singles-lot height unit, the Waterforce cards take up two slots. That is because of the comprehensive display output connectors in the rear. It has three HDMI, three DisplayPorts and one USB-C port, for a total of seven different options.
Other than the custom water-block and seven IO connectors, these AORUS Waterfroce WB cards use custom designed PCBs. The Xtreme RTX 2080 Ti for example has has a 16+3 phase VRM, while the RTX 2080 uses a 12+2 phase design. This allows for comfortable overclocking headroom, further pushing their default clock rates. Which of course are already factory-overclocked to begin with.
The Xtreme RTX 2080 Waterforce WB has a 1890 MHz GPU Boost as well as a 14140 MHz memory OC. Meanwhile, the Xtreme RTX 2080 Ti Waterforce WB has a 1770 MHz GPU Boost and a similarly overclocked 14140 MHz memory.
Gigabyte did not reveal pricing for these cards or the release date as of yet.
