Price
At the time of writing, there was no official price for the Gigabyte Force M63, but as soon as that information becomes available, I will update this review.
Overview
The Gigabyte FORCE M63 is a great gaming mouse and while I still don’t like the overall aesthetics, I can’t argue with the performance. There are more gaming mice on the market than I care to count, many of which offer exceptional performance at competitive prices, fortunately, it seems Gigabyte has done their research, as the M63 has the right amount of features and performance to give anything else a run for its money.
I don’t like the harsh styling of this mouse, it really does look like the bottom of a running shoe. However, despite the somewhat tacky visuals, there’s nothing on this mouse that isn’t designed to offer practicality over style. The thick rubber grip sections on the sides and top of the mouse make it very easy to get a firm grasp on the mouse. When you’re playing at low DPI and making fast adjustments to your aim, the last thing you want is the mouse slipping from your fingers and that’s very unlikely to happen with the FORCE M63.
Programmable buttons, adjustable DPI, a low lift-off height, great ergonomics for claw-grip play styles, an accurate sensor and high quality switches; this mouse certainly has all the major boxes ticked. If you’re looking for a gaming mouse, this is a great place to start. Unfortunately, it’s not so easy to live with day-to-day and if you like to use a palm rest grip on your mouse, you’ll find this mouse to be very uncomfortable in that respect. This isn’t a mouse designed for office work or browsing the web, it’s designed to help your score headshots.
Build quality is very good overall, the mouse is quite small, but it feels durable; more than strong enough to survive a few hard knocks and bumps. Good build quality is obviously a welcome feature and it’s a good sign for a mouse that’s likely to be travelled quite a lot; you should be able to throw it into your backpack in confidence that it’ll work when you get where you’re going.
Pros
Cons
“The aggressive design of this mouse is matched by its flawless performance. If you want a mouse that is designed to help you become a better gamer, then you’ll love what this mouse has to offer. I can see this mouse becoming a big hit with a lot of pro gamers throughout 2015.”
Thank you Gigabyte for providing us with this sample.
