Gigabyte G1.Sniper M5 (Z87) Motherboard Review

Now it’s one thing to have a green colour scheme on the board, but on the BIOS is another thing, but Gigabyte aim to please and have done just that by making the BIOS match up quite nicely. The main screen greets us with plenty of settings to get our teeth sunk into in terms of overclocking and we find plenty of readings for temperatures and frequencies around the sides.

If however you are feeling nostalgic, you can always press the F2 key to be put into “Classic mode” which is an old favourite which we will be using to set things up and to see how far we can push things when overclocked.

  1. Great looking board. I myself don’t like the setup of the sata ports. I’ve got a mobo like that and was a bit of a pain installing the drives and cables inside the tower.

  2. Bitfenix ARE making an mATX version of the Prodigy, it’s probably going to be my next build, and very likely with this board in it.
