Performance
The combination of an Intel Core i5 and RTX 3060 is far from the most potent setup on the market today. However, they’re far from gutless too, and for driving a Full HD display, getting the best out of that 144 Hz refresh rate shouldn’t be too hard at all, even in many of the latest games. The 3DMark score and Unigine performance are certainly respectable though, nothing to complain about here.

The G5 KD model I’m reviewing only came with a single HDD, which is fine, but keep in mind, that other configurations are out there and may not be fully comparable to this one. Still, the speeds are obviously very good, so don’t expect to see too many long loading screens.

When it comes to heavy rendering, a Core i7 or even an i9 will be better suited. However, as you can see, the i5 isn’t utterly hopeless, and if you do need to do some light editing and rendering, it’ll get the job done for sure. Of course, the RTX GPU is going to help do some heavy lifting in compatible rendering applications too.

Gaming performance is pretty great overall, as I knew it would be. The RTX 3060 is a solid gaming card, and since can take advantage of ray tracing, DLSS, Resizable Bar and a whole suite of gaming technologies beyond that, it’s a good price vs performance card for any system. Running Tomb Raider on medium got well over 100 FPS, but again, with DLSS, you could really run much higher settings and get similar or better results.
