Gigabyte GA-X58-USB3 Motherboard Review

BIOS
There isn’t a mass amount that can be said about the BIOS and for a very good reason. It’s what we’ve seen in the past so many times before and what we’re typically used to. The X58-USB3 uses the Award BIOS and has a standard layout that we’ve come to expect.

For the overclockers out there, the first menu is where you will be most of the time. This section is called Motherboard Intelligent Tweaker (M.I.T) and gives flexability over various settings from frequency speeds, voltages and memory settings.

There is also a section to give the current status of the system in an easy to view table, though novice users may be a bit overwhelmed with this page.

You will find that the Advanced Frequency Settings and Advanced Memory Settings pages share a lot of similar options which makes it very handy when overclocking and time is key.

Voltages are split into section based upon what components you want to change voltages for including the CPU and DRAM. All of the settings are manual based as opposed to offset which i personally hate.

Lastly in the M.I.T menu is where you will find some miscellaneous settings for enabling virtualization technology.

Below we show the rest of the BIOS options that you’d typically find on this board:
