Impressive results from the Gigabyte RTX 2080 in our first benchmark. IT scored 23177, putting it just behind the 1080 Ti, but ahead of the Palit Super JetStream RTX 2080; despite the Palit being more expensive! I wouldn’t worry too much about the 1080 Ti either, as the 2000 series cards seem to fudge 1080p testing, but pull ahead in higher resolution tests; I bet drivers will improve this soon enough. Moving up, the lineup doesn’t change too much, with the RTX 2080 sitting comfortable with similar models, and scoring 12291 and 6459 at 1440p and 2160p respectively.
FireStrike Extreme
FireStrike Ultra
Unigine Superposition 1080p Extreme
The 1080 Ti is quickly put in its place here, at Unigine is far more GPU bound, whereas 3DMark relies on the CPU and memory performance more. The Gigabyte RTX 2080 fell in closer to the 2080 FE, scoring 6695, which is pretty decent give the FE are likely binned cards. The same was true even at 2160P, with the 2080 scoring 8808 points.
