Unlike other manufacturers with multiple graphics card announcements on launch day, Gigabyte only has a single GTX 1070 Ti model to announce. However, it is not a blower-style or a dual-fan option but is a feature-packed triple fan option. The Gigabyte GeForce GTX 1070 Ti Gaming 8G has the same 1607MHz base and 1683MHz boost clock as the rest of the other GTX 1070Ti graphics cards, however the extra cooling should give it better overclocking results.
The windforce cooling system uses two composite copper heatpipes with a direct-touch design for superior efficiency. The active cooling fans also sport a unique fan blade design with 3D stripe curves. This lowers the noise and increasing airflow by 23% over typical GPU fans. Under low loads, the 3x Windforce fan cooling system also shuts down automatically. Which in turn minimizes the noise levels as much as possible.
Other than functionality, the Gigabyte GTX 1070 Ti also features colourful customization options in the form of the RGB LED along the side. Users can integrate and synchronize it with compatible products and control it through the desktop software.
The quality of the hardware itself is better than most, using Titan X-grade chokes and 6+2 phase power design from the standard 5+1 of the reference model. The entire back of the card also has metal back plate reinforcement for protection and support.
Users can also overclock the GTX 1070 Ti using the AORUS Graphics Engine which allows for one-click overclocking. So even inexperienced users can push its performance beyond the stock settings.
