Gigabyte GTX 1080 XTREME GAMING Leaked

Earlier in the month, Gigabyte teased their new GTX 1080 XTREME Gaming graphics card. Coming so soon after the Pascal launch and over a month before custom cards arrive, Gigabyte didn’t share too many details. All we got was an image of a blacked out card. Today, the full rendering of the card has been leaked and it does look pretty awesome.
Like the GTX 980Ti XTREME Gaming before it, the GTX 1080 model also features a 3 fan layout. The big surprise is that the middle can is recessed, with the two side fans offset above it. This allows Gigabyte to place 3 fans in a cooler that would normally only fit 2. Of course, I expect the card will still be a bit longer than the 2 fan designs. Furthermore, there is also a new logo for the centre fan hub and X-shaped LEDs. The leak shows an orangish yellow but hopefully, this will be user configurable.
In addition to the cooler leak, we’ve also found out that the XTREME Gaming will come under $700 USD MSRP. This stems from a leak from Gigabyte that the XTREME Gaming will offer $700 value, the same price as the Founders Edition. The only time a company would say X value is if the cost to the consumer is actually less. This means we will actually see some nice custom cards between $599 and 699 for the GTX 1080.
