Gigabyte is currently hosting a contest aimed at Sandy Bridge processor and Socket 1155 owners.
The contest entitled “Lock ‘n’ Load” sponsored by Gigabyte is hosted by and coordinated with HWBOT.org, which shall ensure fast and more secure results for the participants.
This contest is opened to all the overclockers around the globe using any of Intel’s Sandy Bridge processor on any of Gigabyte’s socket LGA 1155 motherboard with whatever cooling solution the user wishes to use.
Only restriction is that the processor must have a locked multiplier of 31x, meaning even the lower end processors can compete.
With a duration of one month, from October 1st to October 31st, the event is divided into two stages: the first one being the maximum DDR3 speed in CPUz, and the second being the Fastest Super PI 32M.
Of course no contest is without prizes, as the winner will get a Gigabyte Z68XP-UD4 motherboard, while the second place will get a Z68XP-UD3P and the third a Z68XP-UD3.
For more information as well as entering yourself, please refer to the competition’s official website.
Best of luck to the participants.
