GIGABYTE Intros X570S Gaming X Motherboard

GIGABYTE is expanding its lineup of AMD X570S motherboards, having already launched their AORUS Gaming and AERO models, they have now revealed their new X570S Gaming X. The Gaming X is part of the main Gigabyte lineup, not their more extreme (and more expensive) AORUS branding. However, it doesn’t look like it’s lacking in features as a result!

X570S Gaming X

It comes in the usual ATX form factor and takes power from a 24-pin ATX and single 8-pin EPS connector. Featuring a 6-layer PCB, which can provide better memory and PCIe signalling. While not the most extreme configuration, a 14-phase (12+2 phase) VRM for the CPU and some large MOSFET heatsinks should make it competitive for overclocking or just dealing with CPUs that have larger boost modes. On the plus side, it doesn’t have the classic X570 chipset fan though, so it should be perfectly silent.

X570

You get the usual X570 and AM4 benefits too, with a PCI-Express 4.0 x16 slot and M.2 NVMe slot with PCI-Express 4.0 x4. Furthermore, two additional M.2 NVMe slots run from the chipset, and both run at PCI-Express 4.0 x4. However, there is an additional X16 slot and two x1 slots for additional add-in cards or a multi-GPU configuration.

Connectivity

There are two USB 3.2 ports on the rear, providing 10 Gbps with one being USB A and one USB C. There are seven 5 Gbps USB 3.2 connections; four on the ear, one internal type-c, and two via headers. There’s 2.5GbE network port on the rear, using the Realtek 8125B chipset. Audio comes from the Realtek ALC892 chipset, delivering 8-channel processing.

Price and Availability

While the price and release date haven’t been revealed, expect to see it on the market in the coming weeks with a very competitive price tag.
