The monitor is equipped with a very competent OSD, allowing you to tweak an impressive range of settings. All the obvious stuff is easily found and user-friendly though. There’s a KVM feature on this monitor. Admittedly, many of you won’t use it, but for those who do, it’s a fantastic thing to have. KVM feature allows you to control multiple devices via one set of keyboard, video and mouse, you plug your peripherals into the monitor rather than into either one of your systems.
If you want to get really deep into things, there’s a six-colour gamut controller, allowing adjustment of the red, green, blue, cyan, magenta, and yellow; it’s rare we see this level of adjustment on any display.
However, you’ll have to use the user profile, as this can’t be changed in the pre-set profiles… no idea why though.
It’s frustrating as the sRGB is the most accurate for colours, but it locks down literally all the settings, including brightness… Gigabyte, fix this now, unlock absolutely all settings, please.
There’s a good range of features though, allowing for overclocking and output configuration. There’s a handy Auto-Update function too, which allows the monitor to get firmware updates to ensure you’re always getting the best performance. I suppose if any software faults are discovered, they can also be patched, which is great.
