A Closer Look
The WindForce branding is quite visible at the top of the card as well as the three 75mm fans that cool the card.
Underneath that shroud is a very dense full cover aluminium heatsink that stretches across the entire PCB.
The rear reveals a black PCB, which is nice, and a cooler that is a LOT longer than the PCB. In total the card measures in at a hair under 29cm which is 11.4 inches.
The card features dual 6 pins and a single CFX connector. The top uses a very open design for improved ventilation.
Those two power connectors have the clips facing inward but there is a heatsink cut-out to give you room to get your fingers in and remove the power connectors.
At 11.4 inches long the Gigabyte R9 270X WindForce OC graphics card certainly looks like a beast so make sure you have room for it inside your case. The cooling solution does only use two slots though which is nice.
The cooler overhangs the end of the PCB as previously mentioned and features lots of cut-outs for intake and exhaust ventilation.
The rear I/O features dual DVI, one DisplayPort and one HDMI.
