Gigabyte Radeon HD 6870 OC Graphics Card Review

Dirt 2The physics engine from within Dirt 2 is a good test of a card and it’s rendering capabilities with fine details such as dust trailing from the rear of the car. There is also the aspect of light and reflections from the cars bodywork and the ability to work with the in game physics and damage rendering engines to produce a realistic gaming experience.

In Dirt 2, we found the 6870 able to cope under some of the most extreme settings with a decent amount of MSAA enabled giving very clear results compared to the 6900 series cards whilst pulling ahead by almost 10FPS when sizing up against the GTX 460 cards from Nvidia.
