Gigabyte Radeon HD 6870 OC Graphics Card Review
TemperaturesMeasuring temperatures is all about being consitent, therefore we keep a steady eye on monitoring the ambient room temperature to make sure that it stays the same. While this is constantly being monitored, we measure the idle temperature of the card using HWMonitor over a 15 minute period. Once this has been recorded, we set FurMark into motion for 15 minutes and record the results again.
The card includes the WindForce cooler which is said to deliver upto 26.9% improvement in cooling which at idle shows it has no benefit at all, whereas when the card was subjected to some gruelling benchmarks through FurMark it showed its potential by offering up 7 degrees cooler temperatures than the 6870 IceQ X Turbo X from HIS.
hmm i would like this card thanks for the review i was going to save for a 6950
