Gigabyte Radeon RX 5700 XT Gaming OC Review

How Much Does It Cost?
The Gigabyte Radeon RX 5700 XT Gaming OC graphics card is available now from most major retailers. We’ve seen the card on Amazon for around £440 in the UK. In the US, it’s currently just $419.99.
Overview
The AMD Radeon RX 5700 and RX 5700 XT already impressed us with their fantastic price and performance ratios. However, the latest Gigabyte Radeon RX 5700 XT is the best one we’ve tested so far. It’s a little more expensive than the stock card, but the performance speaks for its self.
Windforce
The stock card is interesting. I actually like the look of the stock card, even with that funky dent in the side. However, the Gigabyte Windforce OC is one of the most established coolers on the market. It’s barely changed in design over many years, but if it isn’t broken, don’t fix it. It takes the stock cards noisy blower design and throws it in the bin. It runs cooler, quieter, and helps Gigabyte push bigger performance; I like it!
Gaming Performance
The card stands pretty strong against the rest of the AMD range, and just as much against Nvidia. It’ll take on the RTX 2080 and Super Cards in Shadow of the Tomb Raider; even matching them at 4K, which is impressive. even in more Nvidia friendly titles like Ghost Recon, it’s still sitting between the RTX 2080 and 2070 Super cards.
Should I Buy One?
If you’re not fussed about Ray Tracing (yet), and you want to save some money, the 5700 XT is a strong rival for the RTX 2070 Super and even the RTX 2080 Super. I’m sure there are a few competitive RX 5700 XT cards out there right now. However, Gigabyte often proves to be one of the most competitively priced, and it looks like that’s true yet again. Great price, great performance, and a superb warranty… what’s not to love about that.
