With the Windforce 3X cooler, you get exactly what you would expect; three fans! That should give us more than enough airflow to cool the 5700 XT chipset.
What’s really nice about these fans is the blade design. They’re shaped to drive more airflow with less noise and resistance. So, pretty much what anyone wants in a fan really.
What’s unique though, is that the central fan spins in the opposite direction. This fan can spin on its own in low-load too, or all fans can turn off for very low load. The alternative spinning direction can create a vortex of air, allowing for even better cooling performance.
The main shroud is just plastic over the thicker radiator design. It’s nothing particularly complex, but it certainly looks presentable overall.
Around the back of the card, there’s a good amount of ventilation, as well as a bank of display outputs. You’ll find three DP ports as well as an HDMI port.
Despite being a more affordable model, Gigabyte didn’t skimp on the backplate here. It keeps the card looking clean and presentable, but also helps protect and cool the important PCB.
Plus, with 8+6 power delivery though their new durable hardware, the triple-fan cooling, and the backplate, we should get some decent performance from Gigabyte’s latest.
Overall, a familiar-looking, but still great looking card. Now, let’s get to testing!
