We’ve seen a wide range of sexy hardware at this years Computex. However, few brands rolled out quite so many motherboards at Gigabyte. Of course, that also includes their more gaming and overclocking focused Aorus branded boards.
Their first mini-ITX solution with PCIe 4.0 and the new X570 chipset. It’s a very well equipped board for its size too, with 8 Phases, WiFi, ALC1220-VB, and dual M.2 mounts (one on the rear of the board).
This one looks to be a nice blend of the high-end market without too many flashy thrills to keep the cost somewhat affordable. Make no mistake though, as with 14 phases, it should still have some serious overclocking chops for the new 3rd Gen Ryzens.
Much like the one above, this also has 14 Phases as well as PowIRstage. Albeit this one has an improved direct touch heat pipe configuration for improved cooling performance.
This is one of my favourites of the bunch. It’s certainly on the higher end of the scale though so it won’t be cheap. It’s got a great design, with armoured PCI slots, and armoured DIMM slots. There’s a 14 phase design, as well as built-in 802.11ax WiFi, and dual M.2 mounts.
If you really want to splash out, this one not only looks better (above), but also features a third M.2 mount, improved audio thanks to the ESS Sabre DAC, and steps up to dual 8-pin headers for improved OC stability.
Next up, we have the flagship Xtreme edition board. This one comes with extensive armour plating on the motherboard, that also acts as a huge passive heatsink for the chipset. That’s right, this is an X570 motherboard that DOESN’T has a constant running chipset fan. As far as we know, it’s the only one of its kind.
Gigabyte’s X570 motherboards are ticking the right boxes, that’s for sure. However, we like this new X299 refresh also. It comes with 5 GbE onboard LAN, as well as the new 802.11ax 2T2R WiFi as standard.
There’s also an even more extreme Gigabyte AORUS Waterforce edition, which features their flagship audio hardware, 10 GbE networking, Thunderbolt 3, and a fantastic 16 power phase design.
Unfortunately, this is all to be confirmed in the coming weeks. Stay tuned.
We just want to say a massive thank you to our sponsors for Computex 2019; EK, Taitra, Patriot, Corsair and Viper Gaming. We’ll be bringing you the latest products and news for all these brands and many more while we’re in Taiwan. Check out our Computex 2019 event page for the latest!
