Three Gigabyte news stories in one day? They must have had the good coffee brewing this week at Gigabyte HQ! Earlier we saw them teasing their upcoming Aorus gaming motherboards, then their lovely new RGB equipped air cooler the XTC700, and now their Gigabyte Xtreme Gaming XK700 Mechanical Keyboard!
The new keyboard is designed to take on the high-end of the peripherals market, with a stunning brushed aluminium top panel that looks incredible, even more so when you factor in the full RGB lighting which is powered by the Gigabyte RGB Spectrum Software.
The keyboard is equipped with 104 keys, 22 fn-shift functions, full-NKRO (USB), anti-ghosting, and 512kb of onboard memory for all your profiles and lighting customisations.
Equipped with Cherry MX RGB switches, you know you’re going to get excellent performance and longevity from the XK700, and with 16.7 million colours to pick from, customisation of the lighting should be super easy.
No word on pricing just yet, or even a release date, but we’ll be keeping a close eye on this one, as it looks like a strong contender for the enthusiast keyboard market and we’re eager to get our hands on one for testing.
What do you think of the design, are you a fan of the aluminium finish? Personally, I think the only things spoiling it at the Xtreme Gaming logo in the top right and the “challenge your limits” slogan, but they’re hardly deal breakers.
