GIGABYTE has today revealed its new AORUS Gen 5 12000 SSD offering speeds exceeding 12GB/s with the latest in high-speed storage technology.
The AORUS Gen 5 12000 SSD is a high-speed SSD harnessing the power of the next generation PCIe 5.0 controller with ultra-fast 3D-TLC NAND Flash delivering performance over 70% more than previous Gen 4 SSDs. This SSD is capable of read speeds over 12GB/s and write speeds of 11GB/s as shown in the CrystalDiskMark test below.
The drive is equipped with the latest Phison PS5026-E26 8-channel controller as well as an over 232-layer stack structure of 3D-TLC NAND Flash with a built-in LPDDR4 cache design. These specs allow the SSD to unleash the full potential of PCIe 5.0 performance. With this high performance comes a high demand for cooling and to meet that demand is the M.2 Thermal Guard Extreme offers high cooling performance for the drive, This comes in a separate packaging allowing users to choose between this cooler and one built into the motherboard.
