Gigabyte RTX 4060 Ti Eagle Review

The Nvidia RTX 4060 Ti is here at last! And as one of the most affordable new cards, I suspect it’s one of the most eagerly anticipated RTX 4000 series cards to date. While we all adore the extreme performance of the RTX 4090, it’s obviously out of the reach of many consumers due to the price. The xx60 cards often show up as the most popular graphics cards on the Steam Hardware Survey, with the Nvidia 1060, 3060, 2060, 3060 Ti, 1660, 1660 Ti and 2060 Super all in the top 20, in that order. If the performance of these new cards looks great at both 1080 and 1440 resolutions, then I don’t think it’ll be long before the RTX 4060 and RTX 4060 Ti show up on the charts too.

Of course, it offers up the latest Nvidia technologies too, such as the 4th Generation Tensor Cores and 3rd Generation RT Cores, which as you might have guessed, have made significant improvements since the first generation of RTX cards. I’m eager to see what DLSS and RT can really do on these more affordable cards, and I genuinely don’t know the results as I write this, but I’m preparing to be pleasantly surprised… I hope. Plus, with Gigabyte giving this card their latest Eagle design and cooler, I am eager to see if we can gain some advantage over the Founders Edition, which are pretty awesome cards on their own these days. However, keep in mind that despite the Gigabyte makeover, this is still an MSRP card, so I think it’s fair to expect it to be broadly similar to the Founders in most regards.
