Power & Temperatures
Right off the bat, we can see that the Gaming OC does a great job at taming the 4070 SUPER’s core, with nice and cool temperatures at an average of around 61 degrees. The hot spot also managed to stay nicely cooled at just 71 degrees, whilst the memory temperature managed to sit even lower with an average of just 58 degrees, which for the extra cost of this card is something that’s very much welcomed. With the temperatures of the card being pretty low and with this being an overclocked card, the clock speeds manage to get a pretty decent jump over the MSRP 4070 SUPERs we looked at yesterday, with the core clock on this card managing to sit just under 2800 MHz. During all of this, the fan managed to stay pretty quiet, running at around 1775 RPM whilst the card used no more than any other 4070 SUPER we looked at at an average of just 218 Watts.
