Gigabyte RX 7700 XT Gaming OC 12GB Graphics Card Review

Today sees the launch of the RX 7700 XT. A card that is aimed at 1440p gaming for the price of $449 and as you’d expect, along with that, comes plenty of custom AIB models from various brands including the Gaming OC from Gigabyte. A card that typically comes in a little more expensive, but improves upon a reference design with better cooling, faster clocks and superior build quality.

While we have more content around the 7700 XT in its entirety going through how it performs in a ton of games, including Ray Tracing, upscaling, and cost per frame to show the true value behind the GPU and what AMD have done with it whereas this review will focus more on what Gigabyte have done with the Navi 32XL core in terms of keeping it under control when it comes to power, acoustics and temperatures, especially after those long gaming sessions at 1440p on max settings, which is where this card is primarily aimed at.

Gigabyte RX 7700 XT Gaming OC

Gigabyte’s RX 7700 XT Gaming OC is a custom-designed graphics card that’s set to harness the potential of the RDNA3-based 7700 XT GPU and take it one step further in terms of clock speed performance and cooling.

With a triple fan Windforce cooling system, full metal backplate and dual BIOS, it incorporates all of the features that any enthusiast gamer would want from their graphics card all while offering up superb build quality, and a warranty from a brand that you can trust, but the big question comes down to how it performs under our scrutinous testing especially as it will set you back another $30 or so over an MSRP based 7700 XT.
