Gigabyte has been making huge strides forward in the gaming laptop market and unleashed an impressive range of innovative creations ranging from the slimline Aero 14 all the way up to the ultra powerful AORUS X7 DT v6. During the company’s CES 2017 press briefing, a new model was showed which utilises an undisclosed graphics solution. It’s looking likely that the laptop will be outfitted with either a GTX 1070 or GTX 1080 SLI arrangement which provides exceptional performance in a relatively decent size. Unfortunately, I couldn’t acquire information on the exact weight or dimensions, but the unit felt quite solid and designed as a desktop replacement.
On another note, the AORUS X9 will sport vivid per key RGB illumination and supports a huge range of transitional effects. Additionally, the 17-inch panel should come in 3K and 4K flavours while taking advantage of NVIDIA’s G-Sync technology. Not only that, the laptop should come with a 7th generation Intel Core i7-7820HK and allow you to overclock the CPU beyond its default Turbo frequency. The laptop employs a mechanical keyboard and the switches feel similar to Cherry MX Browns. As you can see, the product has an unusual design through the lid’s intricate detailing and the body’s non-rounded edges. There’s even RGB illumination embedded into the housing which creates a rather special effect.
What do you think of the new AORUS X9 laptop?
