Since Nvidia officially announced the new GTX 1080 Ti last week, various partners have started to tease their custom cards. Unlike some previous Pascal launches, we can expect both Founders Edition and custom models to arrive at the same time and without a price premium to boot. Today, Gigabyte has released their teaser for their upcoming Nvidia GeForce GTX 1080 TI AORUS graphics card.
As we can see from the teaser image, the design for the GTX 1080 Ti AORUS is remarkably similar to the GTX 1080 AORUS. Given the increased GPU die of the GP102 used in the GTX 1080 Ti, it’s safe to assume that the new card won;t be any smaller. We can expect the same triple slot beefy cooling solution, high factory overclocks and copper backplate. As part of the AORUS brand, the triple-fan Windforce cooler will feature RGB lighting and extended warranty.
Just like all of the other GTX 1080 Ti’s, Gigabyte’s card will use the GP102 die with 3584 CUDA cores, 224 TMUs and 88 ROPs. There will be 11 GB of fast GDDR5X over the 352bit bus offering 484 GB/s of bandwidth. It will be interesting to see if Gigabyte has stuck with the reference display outputs or added in a DVI of their own. As this is an early teaser, no prices were revealed but we can expect it to be a decent bit higher than the MSRP of $699.
