Gigabyte unveiled the latest family member to their Gaming Laptops called the Sabre 15. Sabres, or swords, are made to be fast and light in order to slash through enemies and looking at the hardware, it is a great name for this systems.
Long gone are the times that laptops were inferior to desktops. Sure, they come with some limitations, but they’re mostly in regards to upgrade abilities. On the inside, the new Sabre 15 features a powerful 7th generation Intel Core i7-7700HQ processor and either a GeForce GTX 1050 Ti 4GB graphics card or a GeForce GTX 1050 2GB card. That should be plenty of horsepower for fluid 1080p high graphics settings, all played out wonderfully with the 15.6″ Full HD 1920×1080 WVA anti-glare display.
The system supports up to 32GB DDR4 2400MHz memory, so that part is well covered too. There’s no shortage in regards to storage either. With up to 1TB M.2 NVMe SSD and up to 2TB SATA3 2.5″ SSD, you’ll have plenty of capacity for your game library, apps, and media files.
The audio is powered by Sound Blaster’ Cinema 2 and the system features dual array microphones for clear voice chat without a headset. It also comes with XSplit Gamecaster + Broadcaster for streaming and recording your gameplay. Speaking of gaming, the keyboard is a vital part of any gaming system. The Sabre 15 features optimised 2.0mm travel scissor keys and RGB backlighting with 16.8 million colours.
Most laptops come with one or two extra display connectors, but Gigabyte added extra in that regard too. The Sabre 15 features 3 connectors for up to 4 displays at your disposal.
