Gigabyte Unveils The Xtreme Gaming XC700W Chassis

Gigabyte isn’t the first name which comes to mind when considering a new chassis but they appear to be broadening their horizons into new markets. Recently, the company announced the Xtreme Gaming XC700W chassis which is an ATX full-tower measuring 593.5 mm x 240.5 mm x 546.6 mm (DxWxH). This premium case is constructed from high-grade aluminium and sports a tempered glass finish on the left side with a tinted hue. Not only that, the chassis has RGB lighting to clearly show the Gigabyte Xtreme Gaming logo on the front as well as a small vertical LED strip. Gigabyte even incorporated the huge Extreme Gaming branding which can be seen through the glass window.
The chassis can accommodate the larger eATX form factor and has 8 expansion slots. Furthermore, there’s support for add-on cards up to 430mm and CPU coolers with a height reaching 170mm. As you might expect, the case doesn’t contain any 5.25-inch drive bays to form a more sleek appearance. Thankfully, you can take advantage of three 3.5-inch bays and three 2.5-inch mounts positioned behind the motherboard tray. Gigabyte embedded a 140mm rear exhaust and either three 140mm or two 120mm fans in the roof. Connectivity-wise, the chassis has two USB 3.0 ports, two USB 2.0 ports and the traditional audio jacks. The absence of USB 3.1 Type-C is a little disappointing and should really be included on modern cases.
Unfortunately, no details have been provided about the price point but I’m expecting the chassis to be really expensive due to the thick aluminium frame and tempered glass side panel.
Do you think the Xtreme Gaming XC700W chassis can contend with the likes of In-Win?
