Gigabyte is releasing an update to their award-winning Aero 14 notebook equipped with a GTX 1050 Ti GPU. This compact laptop is ideal for professionals since it is quite powerful with a high-res display. The new Aero 14 update makes it even more capable by adding an extra M.2 slot as well as Thunderbolt 3. The 14″ QHD 2560×1440 IPS WVA anti-glare display LCD also now come with X-Rite Pantone Color Calibration certification. Which means photo/video professionals can be comfortable with using it for work right out of the box.
Despite the hardare it packs, the Gigabyte Aero 14 is only 1.9cm thick. This is thanks to an innovative thermal design. The shell is made through Nano-Imprint Lithography, rendering it lighter while durable and unique looking in comparison to other notebooks. The base version only weighs 1.89kg.
The addition of a Thunderbolt 3 USB Type-C connector port also opens up a world of productivity for many users. This gives 40Gbps of bandwidth available as well as the ability to hook up a 4K external display. Since there is an HDMI and a mini-Displayport for hooking up two other 4K external displays, users can run three 4K monitors in total. That is in addition to the built-in 2560 x 1440 QHD display.
Aside from more and faster external connectors, the inclusion of extra M.2 slot also lets users take advantage of blazing fast storage. The additional M.2 slot supports both SATA and NVMe PCIe x4 M.2 2280 drives.
