Audio Performance
The motherboard’s audio performance is brilliant across a wide range of bit-rates. As you can see from the data below, the frequency response is superb and the dynamic range, dB (A) remains really impressive. Throughout the testing, the audio chipset maintained a “Very Good” metric and the only element which could be improved upon is the THD + Noise dB (A). Given my experience with other motherboards, this is one of the best set of results thus far and shouldn’t be underestimated.

DPC Audio Latency Analyser
The Gigabyte X99-Ultra Gaming’s maximum audio latency figure is 94.9 which is a decent effort. Even though it’s slightly behind the ASUS STRIX X99 Gaming, it doesn’t mean a lot because the values are way under what I’d describe as problematic.
