There has been a huge wave of Z370 motherboards over the last few months, and love them or hate them, they’ve been undeniably impressive. Of course, much of them are near identical to their Z270 counterparts. However, the revised pin layout allows the use of the new high-performance 8th Gen Intel CPUs, which have been setting our fastest gaming benchmarks to date!
Can you still get the big desktop performance from Z370 in a mini-ITX format? We’ve seen some impressive results with other brands so far, and now it’s time for Gigabyte to show their hand as the compact market with their Z370N WiFi.
It’s certainly well equipped for a mini-ITX motherboard, offering M.2 and Optane support for blazing fast storage devices. High-end audio comes courtesy of the ALC1220 chipset, there’s super fast WiFi, high-end power delivery hardware and RGB lighting. The list goes on, but spec for spec, it would be easy to think this was a full-size ATX motherboard.
“The ALC1220 is a high-performance multi-channel High Definition Audio Codec with up to 120dB SNR for crystal clear audio and features such as Smart Headphone Amp, 114dB SNR recording for precise voice chats and hardware decoding of DSD128, ensuring users get the best possible audio quality from their PC.” – Gigabyte
