Touch BIOS
Moving on to the features that have been implemented by Intel and Gigabyte together, and the whole point behind the Z68 chipset and platform.
The main highlight is the ability for GUI based BIOS features, of which Gigabyte have worked with Intel to develop Touch BIOS.
Touch BIOS is an icon-based system that resembles iOS from Apple and Android from Google to give a crisp clear interface to the user. This style of GUI based interface is perfect for novice users and is a bit of eye candy for the more experienced user. It gives full access to the features of the BIOS including the ability to update, overclock and check the status of your PC all from the comfort of Windows.
Take a look at the Touch BIOS and the features that are implemented into it:
The ability to overclock using Touch BIOS is very friendly and features the usual overclocking functions for the expert user but also includes Smart Quick Boost which enables the user to overclock very easily from the click of a button. This opens the user up to overclocking for the first time in a easy, friendly way.
