Gigabyte makes many of the biggest and most high-end motherboards on the market, but if you don’t have the kind of money or need something as extreme as the AORUS XTREME, then fear not, as there are plenty of really incredible motherboards elsewhere in the Gigabyte range. One of my favourites is the AERO series, which have a stronger focus on content creators, and the unique levels of connectivity that sort of work requires. Video rendering, game creation, and so much more require both a fast component, and plenty of powerful and versatile I/O options, and that’s exactly what you’ll find in the new Gigabyte Z790 Aero G Motherboard.
While it’s not as laser-focused on hardcore CPU performance as the more expensive models, it’s hardly lacking in features either, with a competent 16+1+2 twin digital power stage design, which is actually a pair of 8 phases running in tandem, so thrashing a high-end 12th or 13th gen Intel CPU shouldn’t be a problem here. Furthermore, it comes with VisionLINK, loads of M.2 storage, fast networking and much more that should make it a prime choice for creators.
“AERO Series motherboards are a fresh approach to creators that evolve with optimized features for content creation. To deliver reliable computing performance, impressive connectivity, expandable graphics, and ultra-fast storage for creators to deal with heavy design workloads like 3D rendering and feature-length video production.” – Gigabyte
