temperature

The other key areas that are worth focussing on though comes down to VRM temperatures, which can differ wildly depending on the amount, the capacity of the current that can pass through them, and of course how the various heatsinks handle that power, which in turn, creates heat.

VRM Temperatures

The VRM hardware on this motherboard is really robust, especially for this price range, and the VRM heatsinks are plenty big too. While the performance has been broadly on par or even slightly better than the Master in some benchmarks, this is where to Master takes everyone to school, with its 47.3c VRM temperature. The Elite AX is much warmer at 60.4c, but honestly, for a VRM this big, that’s still very cool indeed, and I would be more than confident in running this motherboard hard for very long periods without thermal issues ever becoming a concern.
