Gigabyte Z87-D3HP (LGA 1150) Motherboard Review
Overclocking
Overclocking can’t really be faulted on the Z87-D3HP. For a relatively affordable motherboard we found 4.8GHz was easy to achieve. We were able to also get 4.9GHz and 5GHz but these were not completely stable, 4.9GHz was mainly stable but did trip up on a few applications. Overall the overclocking was pretty much what I expected for a motherboard of this price point to reach the overclocks of higher end boards you need slightly higher volts but 4.8GHz is still a good showing. The BIOS certainly makes things very easy as all the key CPU related overclocking details are kept in one area so you don’t have to hunt all around your BIOS to find everything you need.
Overclocked Performance and Power
I’ve really come to like Gigabyte mobo’s over the past couple of years and their UEFI BIOS software suite has improved dramatically to what I remember and although I don’t think it’s quite as polished as Asus’s, it’s not far off. My test bench & personal rig both currently use Gigabyte mobo’s.
“would of” should be “would have” in a few places. Good information though!
thanks. my Achilles heel. Always make that mistake X_X
