Gigabyte Z97MX-Gaming 5 (LGA 1150) Motherboard Review
Overclocking
Despite having a fairly low-end 4 phase VRM we found overclocking to be just like any other Z87 or Z97 motherboard. We were able to reach our chip’s maximum with minimal fuss and 1.275 volts. The voltage appeared to be stable with no noticeable droop like has been seen on some competitor motherboards with Z97.
Brown PCB that might go nicely with noctua fans and some poop colour case… do we have poop colour case? 🙂
this is not a low-end 4 phase. this is all digital 4 phase.
Good review. Read after I bought this board so I am relieved. All good but I like MSI’s BIOS better.
