Glorious PC Gaming Race Model O Ultralight Gaming Mouse Review

The battle for ultra-light supremacy has been brilliant, as there are so many great gaming mice out there, but trying to be the best and the lightest is no easy task. All major brands have been in this fight now, shedding weight from the body of the mouse, changing switches, sensors, cables and more to stay competitive. For eSports gamers to at-home gamers who just want something more comfortable and nimble, there’s a lot to love about ultra-light gaming mice. However, Glorious has a hell of a reputation already for great gaming mice, but amazingly, I’ve never in my life used one, so this is my first, and I can’t wait to see what all the fuss is about!

Glorious PC Gaming Race Model O

It may have been on a diet, but it’s no lightweight when it comes to features. It features the latest Pixart 3360 sensor, promising zero acceleration, pixel-perfect tracing, 1000 Hz polling rates, and a low lift-off height (under 0.7mm). It has a max DPI of 12000 and will track at 250+ IPS, with 50G acceleration. It’s equipped with Omron Mechanical switches (20M), RGB lighting, G-Skates Premium Mouse Feet, and their Ascended Cord Ultra-Flexible USB cable. The end result is a competitive mouse that weighs just 67 grams for the matte and 68 grams for the glossy finish. However, if you order the slightly smaller O- model, that’s 58 grams and 59 grams respectively.

Features

  • The Model O gaming mouse is the latest addition to Glorious PC Gaming Race’s highly regarded line of PC accessories. Thanks to its superb feature set and sophisticated aesthetics, the Model O is an excellent choice for those seeking an outstanding gaming mouse.
  • Glorious PC Gaming Race have taken considerable effort to ensure that the Model O both looks outstanding and meets the expectations of demanding gamers. The Model O includes many innovative features, such as a surface which has been moulded into a distinct Honeycomb pattern. This pattern enhances the mouse’s already impressive appearance and helps users maintain a strong grip by giving their palm a tactile surface to hold.
  • The clean lines of the Model 1 are highlighted by the RGB LEDs that run across its edges. Illumination effects for these LEDs can be controlled via dedicated software. One useful effect is a DPI indicator which can be colour coded so you always know your settings.
  • The Model O is ideal for gamers as it is both manoeuvrable and has remarkable tracking accuracy. The mouse is extremely easy to move thanks to its lightweight of just 67g and the Model O has G-Skate mouse feet, which ensure it glides smoothly across surfaces. In order to keep performance lag to a minimum Glorious PC Gaming Race opted to make the Model O a wired rather than a wireless gaming mouse.
  • Accuracy is boosted by a Pixart 3360 Sensor. This ensures the Model O meets esports industry standards, meaning that there is pixel perfect tracking, zero mouse acceleration and a high 1000hz polling rate.
