GOG Allows You to Get Your Money Back for Some Early-Access Games

Buying a game and being able to play it before everyone else certainly seems like a good deal on paper, but what happens when the game is actually poorly optimized or full of bugs? Most of the time, the best you can do is log in on some forums and start ranting about the publishers/developers or the game itself, but that won’t bring you your money back and you’ll still be stuck with a game that you just don’t enjoy playing. GOG is apparently well aware of this issue, which is why it is offering gamers a chance to try out upcoming games while offering full refunds with no questions asked within 14 days.

The games that we’re talking about are Ashes of the Singularity, Starbound, The Curious Expedition, Project Zomboid and Terratech, all of which are completely DRM-free by the way. In order to make sure that things will go smoothly, GOG Galaxy users will also be able to control updates for these games and roll back to previous versions should the need arise. Obviously, Ashes of the Singularity is the most important game on the list, as it is one of the first titles to offer full support for Microsoft’s new DirectX 12 API. Furthermore, the title also benefits from a 25% discount, so it’s probably a good idea to take a chance on it, especially if you want to see how your system will benefit from DirectX 12’s new features.
