GoldenEye 007 is undoubtedly one of the most engaging and appreciated first-person shooters released on Nintendo 64 consoles, which is why it shouldn’t surprise anyone that this particular game is still receiving some attention so many years after its original release. To be more specific, it looks like a YouTube user named Jude Wilson has been hard at work creating a partial Unreal Engine 4 remake of the classic GoldenEye 007. As you can probably imagine, it wasn’t exactly easy to recreate the game using the new engine, which is why Wilson has decided to focus only on a portion of the Facility Map.
Those of you who played GoldenEye 007 back in its glory days will definitely appreciate his efforts, especially if you’re looking for a nostalgia trip. It’s worth noting that other classic titles such as Sonic and Mario Kart have also received the Unreal Engine treatment not too long ago, and the results are quite eye-catching to say the least. If you want to feast your eyes on GoldenEye 007 in Unreal Engine 4, all you have to do is have a look at the following video. We particularly enjoyed the project’s sharp textures, smoke effects and lighting, but make sure to let us know what you think about Wilson’s work.
