This intriguing game is set in the year 1995 and focuses on a strong, intriguing narrative instead of traditional gameplay mechanics. Despite the press applauding the game’s unusual style, many people disliked the amount of walking around without any meaningful action. According to the Metacritic listing, Gone Home has an 86/100 rating while the user score is 5.4/10. This showcases the difference between the press’ views and those of the gaming community. Personally, I quite like different kinds of games even ones which lack any real gameplay.
