Good News For Europe As Elon Musk Considers Taking Twitter Away Due to EU Laws

I’ve made it very clear that my opinion of Twitter/X is negative and I think it’s easily the worst out of all the social media platforms, and that’s a close competition. Since Elon Musk has taken over the platform it has become a lot worse due to some questionable decisions, such as changing the name, although there is one decision that he may be making in the near future that I will fully support, and that is removing Twitter from the EU.
Twitter Could Be Removed From EU
As reported by Insider (Via Reuters), New regulation in Europe specifically the Digital Services Act (DSA) has caused Elon Musk to consider taking Twitter away from Europe, namely EU members who the act affects. The DSA is in place to “prevent the spread of harmful content, banning or limiting certain user-targeting practices, and sharing some internal data with regulators and associated researchers” and several other things. Elon has reportedly discussed the idea of removing the availability of Twitter in the EU in response to this act although those who see this as a positive would have likely already deleted their Twitter account. For those that still enjoy using it or businesses that use it for advertising, it’s not so good news.
