Another win for Google today, with the latest data from comScore showing that they have incredible power in the mobile apps market in the United States. Out of the top 10 mobile apps in the US, Google have five entries – Maps, Play, Search, Gmail and YouTube. These apps are in position two, three, four, five and six respectively – with Facebook taking out the #1 position, of course.
comScore’s data comes from their recently monthly review of the top iOS and Android apps in the US, which is ranked by unique visitors. Facebook taking out the #1 position and Google’s various apps taking out positions #2 through #6, we have Pandora, iTunes, Cooliris and Yahoo! Messenger taking out the #7 to #10 positions.
