Google Might Be Working on a New Game Streaming Service

Should I really care about game streaming services?
Game streaming services are great for a number of reasons. The main one is that they allow users with lower-end PCs to play their favorite games via the cloud. I personally tried out one such a system a few years ago, and I was quite content with the experience that it delivered. Sure, the graphics could have been a bit crisper, but the input lag was nothing to complain about too much. Nowadays, these systems have evolved quite a bit. As long as you have a decent internet connection, all you need to do is plug in a streaming box to a compatible display. With the way graphics cards are priced nowadays, playing games in the cloud is becoming more and more popular.
Google is also aware.
Google is apparently working on a new project, which could rely on a Chromecast to stream games to a user’s device. This “Yeti” system sounds intriguing, but something probably interfered with its official launch. That’s because it was supposed to launch last year, but now, we don’t know exactly when or if it will ever see the light of day. In the meantime, if you’re interested in streaming services, you can always sign up for Nvidia’s GeForce Now beta. The problem with Nvidia’s platform is that it will be quite pricey. When it was announced, Nvidia’s CEO said that gamers will have to shell out $25 for 20 hours of play.
Hopefully, if Google does release its own platform, it will be more affordable than this.
