Google’s flagship smartphone the Google LG Nexus 4 has just had a price cut over at Google’s Play Store. The flagship handset from Google has had price cuts in the USA, Australia, Canada, Germany, Spain, Korea, and the UK. The price cut was quite hefty, in the USA the 8GB model can be had for $199 (down from $299) and the 16GB model for $249 (down from $349). In the UK the price is £159 for the 8GB model (down from £239) and the 16GB model is £199 (down from £279). Discounts vary by nation and by currency but they seem to be around 25-35% which is pretty darn nice given the phone was already very aggressively priced.
As anyone might guess the hefty price cut on the Google Nexus 4 is a signal of one thing – that the Google Nexus 5 is nearing its launch. Google’s Nexus 5 is supposed to launch soon and it will also be made by LG, probably based on their flagship LG Optimus G2 design.
