Google Now Getting Another Wave of New Features
Peter Donnell / 11 years ago
Google Now is already an awesome feature on Android, giving you a wide range of voice commands to set reminders, get directions, search google, call or text message your friends and a whole lot more. I’m personally pretty happy with the features set on offer already, but Google are eager to push more updates to the service every few weeks, and I’m not going to complain about that.
The next wave of features is rolling out now, but could take a few days to reach all users of the service. Once updated you’ll be able to ask Google Now to remember where you parked your car, handy when you’ve forgotten that you parked in row 95 of some epic cinema car park. The car finding feature is something you can get from other apps, but having it as a core feature of the OS is much better in my opinion.
Not only will you be able to play “Dude where’s my car?” with your phone, but you’ll also be able to add nicknames to your contacts, so “my brother” or “dude” should be perfectly acceptable when telling Google to “call The Dude”. There will also be a new reminders interface, as well as the ability to tweak more settings via voice commands.
