It would now seem that these price cuts were part of Google’s plan to clear current inventory of the Nexus 4 handsets in preparation for the launch of the Nexus 5…and what better way to prepare for the launch of the Nexus 5 than by dumping cheap Nexus 4 handsets into the market.
Google is apparently deciding to end production of the Nexus 4 so any remaining stock will no doubt be snapped up at current prices and not replaced. The message is clear – if you want a Nexus 4 then buy now if you can still find stock because that stock won’t last much longer.
