AMD 6000 Series Cards
Now moving over to AMD and we see the RX 6500 XT consistently staying the cheapest at the bottom of the stack, however it has actually increased in price since May ever so slightly and the RX 6600 has also seen a drop that makes it the more viable option for not much more money. Both the RX 6950 XT and the RX 6900 XT are now significantly cheaper than they were at launch, however they are both fighting for the top spot and strangely the 6900 XT is now more expensive than its more powerful older brother the RTX 6950 XT by almost £100, so if you’re looking for one of those two cards you would be getting more performance for less of the cost and it’s a bit of a no brainer. In the middle of the stack, we have seen some movement, though cards like the 6600 XT and RX 6700 have seen slight price increases, but this could be done to stock dwindling now that AMD have another card in the 7000 series stack, though again, it wasn’t well received by a lot of consumers.
Now looking at AMD and we can see that the majority of the cards have stayed very consistent with a few drops here and there. The biggest thing that jumps out is the RX 6900 XT which has increased to above its MSRP now sitting at $1038 and leaving it nearly two times more expensive than the RX 6950 XT which comes in at an astonishingly low $579 which leaves the 6900 XT redundant when you can get its bigger brother for a great price. Overall, the rest of the stack has seen some small discounts, and could go further once the 7000 series builds up a bit more steam.
