Grand Theft Auto: Vice City is definitely one of the best Grand Theft Auto games ever made, and I sure look back fondly on my time playing it when I was younger. By today’s standards, the game isn’t very impressive graphics-wise, and its requirements are so low that even smartphones are able to run it without too many issues. The sad news is that Rockstar doesn’t seem too keen on remastering its old titles, but that’s where the gaming community comes in. A YouTube user named “Majami Hiroz: Welcome to the 80s” has decided to give us a glimpse at what this awesome game would look like remastered, and the results are actually quite impressive.
His project is a video that was created using assets and animations from the original game, as well as brand new graphics effects, new textures, and a brand new lighting system. All of these come together to give off the feeling of a true remaster, but it’s worth noting that the character models have remained untouched. Below you’ll be able to see the original scene from Grand Theft Auto: Vice City as well as the remastered version by Majami Hiroz: Welcome to the 80s.
