I must admit that I’m not one to gush over The Grand Tour as a TV series. For those unaware, or just seeking clarification, I should point out that this is, an effect the true ‘Top Gear‘ series after Jeremy Clarkson was dismissed from the BBC. It is, however, far earlier to refer to it as Top Gear.
Anyway! While I would admit that I have paid very little attention to the TV series, I certainly wasn’t aware that a game was on the way! Well, it is, and better still we have the official trailer for it!
Well, it’s driving game as you would expect. It does, however, tick more than a few of the right boxes. For example, it’s nice and bright and seems to carry an ‘arcade’ feel to it rather than an outright simulator style. In addition, the game will also include a 4-player split-screen mode. A factor sorely missing in more modern racing games.
Well, we don’t have an exact date, but we can make a more than educated guess. Series 3 of The Grand Tour will start airing on January 18, 2019. Given that this game is looking to directly tie in with that season, it doesn’t mean beyond the realms of likelihood that it will also release on the day.
In terms of the actual release format, the game will release on the PS4 and Xbox One. With this being a Prime franchise as well, here’s hoping it’s going to be free for Amazon members!
