GreenManGaming have confirmed their Summer Sale will commence on the 10th July and run until the 23rd. Over 1,500 games from mainstream AAA titles to niche indie gems will be included and offered at discounts up to 80% off! Each day is based on a theme or genre and features flash deals, free game giveaways and special promotions.
In a similar vein to previous events, there will be Playfire rewards for purchasing the main sale contenders. Please note, daily deals only last 24 hours and do not carry onto the next day. This can be a little confusing considering Steam deals actually last for 48 hours. The Playfire system is a rather novel way of providing cashback which can be used towards other purchases. GreenManGaming have tried to establish themselves as a very consumer friendly outlet, and initiatives like this separate them from the competition.
In all honesty, the Steam sales have been rather lacklustre for some time. Usually, the best prices are from 3rd party retailers who provide a Steam key. It only takes a few seconds to redeem each product, so it seems rather silly to pay the Steam rates. Arguably, sites such as CDKeys are the cheapest, but the recent escapade involving G2A and stolen keys has made consumers wary of key resellers. GreenManGaming is one of the most trustworthy alternatives to Steam and I expect to see a number of excellent discounts across the board.
