Grim Dawn is an action RPG game from the people who created Titan Quest, a game that is considered a must play in many circles. Following the same gameplay mechanics, with a few more added on Grim Dawn is set in a universe where magic and violence are common with characters facing anything from bandits to the undead all in one day. Like many games at the moment, Grim Dawn was funded using an early access model, with people paying to support the development in exchange for getting access to the game while it’s still being developed.Until now that is.
The studio behind Grim Dawn, Crate Entertainment, announced on Facebook yesterday, that the project is “content complete”. According to the studio, this means that we have access to not only all the games items and difficulty modes but that all quests are now accessible and there are no quests that cannot be completed.
With a final release set for early 2016, the latest patch sees users able progress all the way to level 85 and an additional 500 pieces of items means that hours of gameplay can quickly become days of quests and adventure.
Having played both Titan Quest and Grim Dawn I can say I enjoyed them both, with Grim Dawn leaning more towards my style, added features like loyalty to different groups mean your decisions have an impact and that impact shapes your character and your world. Have you played either and are you excited for the big release?
