GTA 6 Leaker Did The Job With A Fire TV Stick In A Travelodge

Travelodge is a place where you expect your local politician to get caught with his secretary and not where you’d expect one of the most prolific video game leaks of all time to occur, using an Amazon Fire TV Stick.
GTA 6 Hacker Used Fire TV Stick
As reported by Engadget, the 17-year-old hacker, now 18, named Arion Kurtaj who was behind the GTA 6 leaks nearly a year ago has been revealed to have committed his crime in a Travelodge using a Fire TV stick. Going against what hackers tend to be shown as in mainstream media, Kurtaj had been living in the Travelodge after other hackers had “doxxed” him and his family prompting him to be denied internet access. Being a smart lad with a questionable moral compass, he used a Fire TV stick to do the work and access Rockstar’s network and expose all of those videos which whilst interesting, was incredibly saddening for the Dev teams at Rockstar.
Currently, Kurtaj and another 17-year-old have been on trial for the crime and have been found guilty of hacking Rockstar. The court is however unable to make a judgement on whether they were done with criminal intent as both of the boys are autistic and “ineligible to stand trial”. I’m not sure what happens to lead someone who is clearly very good with tech to commit such a crime, but then again unethical hacking often pays more than ethical hacking, so long as you don’t get caught.
